County Caucuses

The purpose of the Republican precinct caucuses is to elect precinct committee persons and delegates to county, state, and congressional assemblies.

The Teller County Republican Central Committee is mandated under HB24-1067 to provide access to Caucus and County Assembly for any person with a disability preventing them from attending Caucus or Assembly. To request access under HB24-1067 please email the chair of TCRCC at info@tellercounty.gop by February 17th for Caucus and February 24 for County Assembly.

The purpose of the Republican precinct caucuses is to elect precinct committee persons, delegates, and alternates to county, state, and congressional assemblies. In Colorado, the process of nominating Republican candidates for elected office begins with the caucuses.

Caucuses are held in locations across Teller County and are open to the public. To vote or become a delegate, one must be a registered Republican by February 9 , 2026 (22 days before precinct caucuses).

Voting for candidates at assemblies helps ensure their name gets on the primary ballot. Only delegates, elected at Caucus, get to vote at assemblies.

Teller County requires you also attend the county assembly if you are a delegate to a higher assembly, such as state assembly, so make sure both dates are available if you plan to become a delegate. It’s at the assemblies where delegates vote for the candidates as well as party platform changes.
